What is Stainless Steel 316 Flanges?

Stainless Steel 316 Flanges belong to austenitic grade. These flanges have a superior concentration of chromium, nickel, and molybdenum. The excellent composition gives these flanges enhanced corrosion and oxidation resistance. Their high tolerances allow these flanges to form a secure and tight sealing within the system. An ASTM A182 F316 Slip On Flange is one of the most used and economical flanges having a low-profile head. These flanges are passed over pipes or tubes and welded in place using one or two filler welds. Standard slip on flanges are not preferred in high-pressure applications.
