Testing facilities at SP Metal

Tensile Test

It helps in determining the tensile strength of the product. The test involves submitting a calibrated tensile that grows slowly and gradually. The speed is enough for establishing a quasi-permanent balance between the applied stress and the alloy’s reaction.

Hardness Test

This helps to understand if the given product is hard enough, according to the specification. These tests are intended towards testing the Brinell and Rockwell B or indenter tip Rockwell C and Vickers testing. It also helps in measuring the indentation load’s depth.

Impact Test

This helps in evaluating the toughness of a material. This is done by measuring the absorbed energy to break. The notched factors whose impacts are the highest here are temperature, notch effect, and the application speed.
